Organizing the Society’s activities through divisions has a long tradition. The variety of areas and topics that the Society deals with and the constant increase in the number of members resulted in the formation of the first divisions immediately after the Second World War. The Chemical Education Division was founded in 1949 and is the first established division within the Society.
